The Lancia car making company is tied to the veneto region for two reasons: it was founded in 1906 by Vincenzo Lancia from turin and by Claudio Fogolin who had been born in Veneto. furthermore the engine of what would have been the Aurelia was designed in 1942/43 in Padua, by igegner Francesco De Virgilio. this was the first production v6 engine in the world.
