Gallery of Motoring, Mobility and Talent in Veneto Giannino Marzotto 2014

Nell’attesa di vedere esposti nella nuova sede del Polo Museale Culturale Santa Chiara (in costruzione a Bassano del Grappa) i tanti cimeli recuperati e conservati dal Museo dell’Automobile “Bonfanti-VIMAR”, alcuni di essi vengono messi in mostra a rotazione, nell’attuale sede di Romano d’Ezzelino, riservando ai visitatori sorprese e meraviglia.

Fra le innovazioni dell’edizione 2014 ci sono due recenti scoperte: la prima certificazione nel 1471 di una invenzione, quello che oggi in tutto il mondo si definisce brevetto, e l’ altra un record che riguarda il primo giornale al mondo! Ancora una volta è Venezia a primeggiare nel 1563, quando apparve un foglio che usciva ogni una o due settimane, riportante notizie di interesse generale.

Un salto di secoli ci porta a una nuova postazione dedicata al Campione del mondo di F.1 ’97 Jacques Villeneuve, sono esposti il suo casco, la  tuta e la vettura Reynard-Alfa Romeo 903 con cui disputò il Campionato Italiano di Formula 3 nel 1990 con la plurititolata squadra vicentina  PREMA POWERTEAM.

Dalla pista al mondo dei rally per ammirare l’Opel Ascona SR 2.0  Gr.2-Conrero,  che permise  alla coppia bassanese Biasion-Siviero di conquistare  il Campionato Italiano nel 1980, con un crescendo che li porterà ai due titoli mondiali vinti nel 1988 e 1989. Auto perfettamente restaurata che riprenderà la carriera nei rally storici 2014.Ultima importante acquisizione, uno strepitoso  prototipo Ferrari 430 GT made in Veneto, da scoprire e gustare.

Il piano sottostante è sempre riservato al mondo dei rally, con un costante alternarsi di vetture leggendarie, curate dal plurivittorioso Team Bassano.

CARIOCHE & TRATTORI

“Carioche & Trattori – machines that changed agriculture”, the 37th thematic exhibition of the Museum “Bonfanti-VIMAR” was launched a few days ago, thanks to the active collaboration of many passionate collectors, like Silvanus Tagliaferro and Vittorio Bertozzi, and the Siriola Association of Romano d’Ezzelino.

RALLY: THE MONSTERS ARE HERE, THE TERRIFYING GROUP B AND…MORE

The “Bonfanti-VIMAR” Automobile Museum of Bassano del Grappa will organize an exhibition devoted to rally cars, with special emphasis and attention to the terrifying Group B cars. Also the 20th Anniversary of the World Championships won by the Bassano hero Miki Biasion (1988/89)Il will be honored with a section devoted to the cars he drove in his career.

THE ITALIAN CAR BORN IN ITALY

Motor cars appeared almost simultaneously, at about 1890, in France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States of America, thanks to the gasoline combustion engine first patented by the Italian Enrico Bernardi on the 22nd of August, 1882.

In Italy, as in the other four major countries that gave birth to the motor car, the beginning was experimental and done by small craftsmen. Between 1900 and 1907 entrepreneurs, inventors and speculators jumped on the novelty which seemed capable of realizing stupefying profits. Fiat’s shares, worth in 1900 25 Lire each, by 1907 were worth 2.450 Lire! Then a crisis came, and out of 60 car makers fewer than 20 survived.

In 1919, at the end of the 1st World War, lots of new companies flourished, only to shut down within 10 years, since they could not face the competition from the big industrial complexes.

After the 2nd World War new hopes and illusions were born, like Cisitalia, Cemsa-Caproni, Abarth, ISO, De Tomaso, ATS and so on.

Today the Italian motor car, thank to the great coachbuilders, is still the leader with Fiat, which has been acquiring new market shares, while Lancia and Alfa Romeo are strengthening the reputation they achieved over the years, and all car enthusiasts’ dream in every corner of the world is to have a Ferrari, a Maserati or a Lamborghini.
