<p style="text-align: justify;">The exhibition <b>Gallery of Motoring, Mobility and Talent in Veneto – Giannino Marzotto</b> unique and incredible, emphasizes the territory and the Veneto Region, land of worldwide firsts, inventions, nest for scientists and source of several scientific achievements, hard working and dynamic area which even today, thanks to its excellences, aims at being a point of reference for the World.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The exhibition tells a story that for centuries was ignored, forgotten, diminished by technicians, scientists, administrators, while this Museum brought it back into the limelight it deserves. It is worth a visit to become acquainted with just a few of the World firsts and the people behind them, of whom Veneto can be proud since long ago, certainly every visitor will learn something he was unaware of, and a few might show off for being precisely from the area.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It will be realized that the assembling chain was first used in 1104 at the Venice Arsenal, to build as many as 250 ships per year. So the @, born in business letters of the Venetian merchants between ‘400 and ‘500, or the first suspension for a vehicle of 1595, the Suez Canal designed by two engineers from Venice at the middle of the 19th Century, the first gasoline engine patented by Enrico Bernardi from Verona on the 22nd of August 1882 (Benz will patent hi three months later, Daimler one and a half year later), the first lady racing driver in 1899, the first Italian airship in 1905 …. a long list of heirlooms, to reach our times with Federico Faggin that in the seventies invented the microchip, a small item that today moves the entire world, and Massimo Marchiori who some twelve years ago found the special algorithm that allowed Google to exist, the search engine most used worldwide today, and more and more …</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Precisely in these days, in the Visitors’ Book of the “Bonfanti-VIMAR” Museum, some wrote: “A different Museum, where the standing still of the exhibits becomes a run of emotions … a unique “piece” in the wide number of soulless museums”.</p>

AT THE 1952 COPPA DELLE DOLIMITI IN THE SPORTSCARS OVER 2000 CATEGORY ONE COULD READ: 1ST PAOLO MARZOTTO, 2ND GIANNINO MARZOTTO, 3RD VITTORIO MARZOTTO, 4TH UMBERTO MARZOTTO, ALL DRIVING FERRARIS!</i></p>
<p><i>THIS <b>ENGINE</b> WAS ON ONE OF THE FIRST CARS ON THE LOCAL ROADS. IT WAS MIRACULOUSLY SAVED AND THE GRANDCHILD (SE DI NONNO, SE DI ZIO NEPHEW) COUNT FOSCARI DONATE DIT TO THE MUSEUM.</i></p>
<p><i>IT IS A TWIN CYLINDER UNIT, CAPACITY 1700 CC., WITH TWO MORE CYLINDERS TO ACT AS CHARGERS, TO MAKE POSSIBLE STARTING THE CAR WITHOUT THE HANDLE.  </i></p>
<p><i> </i><b><i>ELENA LUCREZIA CORNARO</i></b><i> IS A SCHOLAR, WELCOME IN THE MOST IMPORTANT AND PRESTIGEOUS ACADEMIES TO THE POINT THE IN 1676 SHE WAS SUGGESTED FOR A DECREE AT THE PADOVA UNIVERSITY. A STRONG CONFLICT AROSE, AND AT THE END, ON THE 25TH OF JUNE 1687 SHE WAS GRANTED A PHILOSOPHY DOCTORATE.CORNARO IS IN ANY EVENT THE FIRST WOMAN IN THE WORLD TO HAVE RECEIVED A DOCTORATE.</i></p>
<p><b><i> </i></b><b><i>THE SUEZ CHANNEL</i></b><i>, WHICH CONNECTS THE MEDITERRANEAN AND THE RED SEAS, WAS AN ANCIENT DREM. IT WAS BUILT, BETWEEN 1959 AND 1969, ON A PROJECT BY TWO ENGINEERS FROM VENETO: LUIGI NEGRELLI AND PIETRO PALEOCAPA.</i></p>

<p><b><i> </i></b><b><i>VENETIAN VERANTIO</i></b><i> WAS THE FIRST ONE IN THE WORLD TO INSTAL SPRINGS ON CHARRIOTS’ AXLES.</i></p>
<p><i> </i><i>ON AUGUST 5, 1882, <b>ENRICO BERNARDI</b> FILED IN PADUA HIS PATENT FOR AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE, WHICH IS CONSIDERED THE FIRST ONE IN THE WORLD.</i></p>

<p>The exhibition tells a story that for centuries was ignored, forgotten, diminished by technicians, scientists, administrators, while this Museum brought it back into the limelight it deserves. It is worth a visit to become acquainted with just a few of the World firsts and the people behind them, of whom Veneto can be proud since long ago, certainly every visitor will learn something he was unaware of, and a few might show off for being precisely from the area.</p>
<p>It will be realized that the assembling chain was first used in 1104 at the Venice Arsenal, to build as many as 250 ships per year. So the @, born in business letters of the Venetian merchants between ‘400 and ‘500, or the first suspension for a vehicle of 1595, the Suez Canal designed by two engineers from Venice at the middle of the 19<sup>th</sup> Century, the first gasoline engine patented by Enrico Bernardi from Verona on the 22<sup>nd</sup> of August 1882 (Benz will patent hi three months later, Daimler one and a half year later), the first lady racing driver in 1899, the first Italian airship in 1905 …. a long list of heirlooms, to reach our times with Federico Faggin that in the seventies invented the microchip, a small item that today moves the entire world, and Massimo Marchiori who some twelve years ago found the special algorithm that allowed Google to exist, the search engine most used worldwide today, and more and more …</p>
<p>Precisely in these days, in the Visitors’ Book of the “Bonfanti-VIMAR” Museum, some wrote: “A different Museum, where the standing still of the exhibits becomes a run of emotions … a unique “piece” in the wide number of soulless museums”.</p>
<p>Among the activities of the “Bonfanti-VIMAR” Museums there are also two classes per year for collectible cars and bikes restorers and a flea market, in October, called “Excellent wrecks”.</p>
<p>We enjoy studying, restoring, preserving but among all we like to shock.</p>

Un rinnovamento per esibire altre meraviglie, come le quattro esclusive vetture costruite nel Veneto in un arco di tempo di 120 anni. Dal 1894 ad oggi.
L’oggi è rappresentata dalla Fornasari, un SUV straordinario costruito su misura e con cura sartoriale nel vicentino, ormai da una quindicina d’anni.

Fornasari ne approfitta per comunicare che sta sbarcando nel mercato cinese con il modello “99”, una maxi SUV con un design da vera Gran Turismo di razza.
Il telaio è in tubi d’acciaio abbinato a quattro ruote motrici, con cambio manuale od automatico a sei rapporti. Sul fronte delle motorizzazioni i nuovi clienti potranno scegliere tra le unità a benzina V8 di origine Chevrolet con potenze da 500 a 750 cavalli, oppure un diesel 3000 V6 da 250 Hp. Questa lussuosa vettura con interni in pelle ed alluminio in grado di ospitare cinque persone, dichiara una velocità autolimitata di 288 km/ora ed un’accelerazione da 0 a 100 Km/ora in appena 3,8 secondi, un po’ meno di una Formula 1!

Accanto a questa meraviglia, altre curiosità, alcune scoperte recentemente nel corso dell’aggiornamento della seconda edizione della Enciclopedia del Motorismo, Mobilità e Ingegno Veneto, che il Museo bassanese sta preparando con la stretta collaborazione del Circolo Veneto Automoto d’Epoca.

Ha preferito  restare sempre nelle piccole cilindrate, anche se le sue doti di guida evidenziavano una maturità ed esperienza adatta anche a grosse vetture. Usava quasi sempre le leggere Stanguellini 750 Sport, con le quali colse innumerevoli vittorie di categoria. Da sottolineare un primo assoluto, sempre con la piccola Stanguellini 750, alla coppa del Pasubio del 1954, quando lasciò a quattro secondi la Maserati 2000 Sport di Lampertico ed a sei secondi l’Aurelia GT 2500 di Eugenio Lubich. Alla Coppa d’Oro delle Dolomiti che è stata la sua gara preferita, vinse la categoria sport 750 nel 1952, 1953 (con un’ora di vantaggio sul secondo classificato!) e nel ’54, si ritirò per per un guasto meccanico nel 1955. Nell’edizione del 1952 scrisse  una pagina eccezionale nella corsa sulle Dolomiti. Dopo i Passi di Falzarego, Rolle e Pordoi a Fiera di Primiero (circa metà percorso) risultò secondo assoluto, davanti a molte Ferrari, Maserati ed altre vetture di cilindrata tre, quattro volte superiore. Poi gli allunghi da Feltre a Belluno, ridimensionarono logicamente questa prestazione, ma terminò comunque undicesimo assoluto, con la piccola 750 infilata fra auto di cilindrata maggiore. La sua ultima gloriosa Stanguellini si può ammirare ora al Museo dell’Automobile “Bonfanti-VIMAR” affidata all’Ente bassanese dalla Famiglia Monti, assieme a casco, coppe e trofei.
